Freshly fallen flower petals were gathered, pressed to preserve for several years, and finally arranged into mandala-like shapes. After the creation of the flower mandala series was completed, the petals were released back into the garden.

Biography: Michelle Bien (born 1985, Lansing, Michigan, United States) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer currently living and working in West Bloomfield, Michigan. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts with High Honors from the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan in 2007, she established her professional foundation through preliminary work in the arts, nonprofits, administration, gallery management, sales, marketing, web design, and research.
